Oswego and HOME!🏡

More locks, 31 to be exact. That makes 104 since we left Fair Haven 9 months ago.

Straight ahead is a welcome sight, Lake Ontario. This was the last lock on the Erie Canal
    section of the Oswego River.

Oswego Lighthouse. Left turn and 14 miles on the big lake to home.

One of our 2 neighbors, Margaret and Tom Hanford shooting off their cannon
to welcome us home. On the other side of the bay, Pete Hanford did the same. We then
"crossed our wake" after over 5,000 miles on our boat to become officially
     Gold  Loopers.

An incredible journey circumnavigation the entire eastern half of the U.S. We traveled in
rain, sun, high winds, salt water and fresh water and incredible tides. We had a U.S. Navy
Attack submarine surface on our bow which scared the hell out of us. We met many new
friends from all over the country with one common goal, completing the "loop".

Highlights........Mackinac Island, traveling right through downtown Chicago, The mighty
Mississippi, The 17 hour, overnight crossing of the Gulf of Mexico, The Golf Hall of Fame,
Visiting friends in Hilton Head, Charleston (what an incredable city), Georgetown S.C.
(a must visit if in South Carolina), Deltaville, VA., Jersey Shore, NYC and the Statue of
Liberty, the beauty of the Hudson Valley and finally, our home port, Fair Haven.

Hudson River

Is anyone on this boat gonna have time to do my nails?

George Washington Bridge. From northern Manhattan to Ft. Lee N.J. Over this
bridge pass 102 million cars a year.  Also known as the center of "Bridgegate".

United States Military Academy at West Point, very awesome from the water.

Bear Mt. From the Hudson River.

Sunset on the Hudson River from Mills Norrie State Park in Staatsburg N.Y.

New York City!🗽

Ever since Erin and Bryan lived in New York City, and we visited, we've talked
about taking our boat past the Statue of Liberty some day. Well we did it!
We left Manasquan N.J. On a clear and sunny morning and entered the Atlantic for
a 4 hour ride to Manhattan. What a thrill to sit in front of the lovely lady and Ellis Island
    next door.

Liberty Landing State Park. Overlooks Manhattan to the east and the Statue of Libert to
    the south.

    Ellis Island.

The tall building is the new World Trade Center.

Staten Island Ferry. They whiz across the waterway with total disregard to any other
boats that happen to be in the water.

Do you think they have enough life jackets? I think NOT!

Jersey City. We met up with Tim And Jess Hanley (friends of Bryan and Erin for dinner)

And of course, Owen, who was the hit of the evening.  Sharman and Owen became
Fast friends and she found his funny spots.   Boy, he can giggle.

We had a great time meeting up with Tim, Jess,  and Owen along with a great dinner.
Thank you!  See you the fourth!🎆

Atlantic City 🌆💰

     A little piece of paradise.

Miles of this.  As many people you can get in a sq. acre as possible.

Before we reached the casinos these were the surrounding homes.

This guy just purchased the blue building with the ball on top,  just above. He leaves his
yacht here for the summer for when he visits.

     Beautiful city.
