Chesapeake Bay/Weather has been blah

Since leaving Norfolk Va. And almost running into a USN Submarine we have had
crappy weather. It either was cold, rained or was too windy to travel the Cheaspeake.
We were grounded for three days at Salt Point Marina just outside of Hampton. From
there we went to Deltaville Virginia, a nice little town on the Tappahonnock River. It's
considered one of the best boating areas on the Chesapeake with at least 20 marinas
in a town of 1800 residents. We were grounded there for 2 days because of, you
     guessed it wind.

Doziers Yacht Harbor, nice marina, 3 courtesy cars so we did a little shopping. Had
boat come in after us from Albany NY that we had dinner with back in Myrtle Beach.

Finally, water we can travel on. Take advantage of days like this.

Arrived at Herrington Marina, Fairhaven, Virginia. Today was the start of their annual
stripper fishing derby. $80,000 in prize money. Believe it or not these guys fish up to
36 rods at a time. Sharman asked how they keep the lines from getting tangled and
    never really got an answer.

Unfortunately, picked a spot right next to the sidewalk.

This poor little duck picked a nesting place right next to the grounds being renovated
Into a lush outdoor wedding venue.

They turned this wasteland into this fabulous place in the three days, that I was there.

Delaware City,  cute little port town that heads the Delaware Bay.

An Original lock, no longer in use.  It was built before the current canal
System which is wider and deeper.

Newly renovated hotel into office spaces.

A pretty park by the waterway.

Extremely strong currents and narrow channel with busy
Traffic to navigate down 500 yards and pivot turn
       To dock.
